With so many skin care products out there have you ever thought
about the many ingredients in these products to not put on your skin? There are
actually quite a few common ingredients that we might be using that are far
from healthy or beneficial in any way. Here are some products you should never
put on your skin to keep skin safe and strong!
Triclosan: Another one of the very common things to never put on your skin is
triclosan. You can find this in lots of liquid and antibacterial soaps, oral
care products and makeup and it's far from healthy!
Zinc: When we hear the word zinc, we might think of it as an essential
mineral but it's also found in sunscreens and is a skin care ingredient. While
zinc oxide is somewhat controversial, some say its totally safe while a study
have found that nanosized particles of the mineral can leave us more
vulnerable to skin cancer.
Formaldehyde: What not to wear on skin? Formaldehyde for sure! This ingredient
can be found in nail polish, body wash and shampoo. The Campaign for Safe
Cosmetics says that formaldehyde absorbed through skin can cause skin
irritation or even cancer.
Propylene glycol: This chemical is another one among the merchandise you should not placed on your skin. This chemical may be found in everything from shampoo, hair dye, shaving gel and tanning lotion.
Petroleum: Petroleum is one of the top ingredients in health and beauty products these days and
it can clog pores, may cause acne and it's been linked to skin cancer.
